Renata & Mark

Back in May 2018, at Kadri & Otto’s wedding in Worth Abbey West Sussex, I met a really very charming couple: Renata & Mark. Later in the year Renata contacted me to tell me her exciting news, Mark and her had become engaged and that after seeing the photos from Kadri and Otto’s wedding, they were considering me as their Wedding Photographer. Renata also sent me a link to their choice of venue www.hedsor.com. I have to say I was blown away, as you’ll appreciate when you take a look at their website. I felt honoured, humbled and excited (also more than a little nervous as I’d never shot a wedding at such a grand venue).

We arranged to meet up at a local bar to them in London and we enjoyed a great evening of conversation, laughs and a few cans of a beer that Mark said I should try, possibly a few too many on a school night for me but I had a fantastic time. There we agreed that I would join them at Hedsor for a couples / engagement shoot to confirm if they were happy with my style and also to build on the relationship, which I feel is really important to have with my clients. It was a really enjoyable couple of hours spent on the grounds of Hedsor. We walked through the woods and passed lakes and lawns, as well as some resident Longhorn Cattle. Alongside the fence I took this photo which I really love as it felt so natural and really shows their love for each other.

Mark was even kind enough to let me have a go on his latest toy (sorry, business product) a DJI drone and I had such fun flying it over the grounds at Hedsor, it is definitely on my wish list to have one of my own. Not long after Renata confirmed that they would like me to be their Wedding Photographer and I was elated, not just because of the fantastic Venue of Hedsor House but because I really clicked with them on that evening out, as well as at the couple shoot at Hedsor and thought they were really lovely people.

They asked if I could provide a second photographer and I knew just the person I’d ask to fill the role, my friend and fellow photography student at Trafford College, Ann-Marie. Not only is Ann-Marie a great photographer for Weddings, she also is amazingly talented at new-born photography (https://www.facebook.com/OlunaPhotography/). Funny story, the trains were all over the place with line works on the weekend of the wedding and the train fare wasn’t any more expensive than a flight so I flew Ann-Marie down from Manchester on BA! My lovely brother Chris also came along to assist and take some video and fly the drone that Mark had kindly lent to us to practice with.

The big day came and we arrived very early to get prepared and scope out the venue and grounds. It was so much fun and we were made to feel so welcome, eating food with the guys as they prepared and being so intimate in their personal space as they enjoyed the run up to the ceremony and beyond. It was such an honour to be Renata & Mark’s Wedding Photographer. They have been in contact with me frequently since and I have really appreciated the support they have given me.

Thank you so much for having me be part of your very special day x
